Prep Time 5 minutes Cook Time 2 minutes Yields 2 cups


  • 3 avocados
  • 1/2 cup chopped white onion
  • 1/4 c chopped cilantro
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ~1 tsp salt, or to taste


  1. In a large bowl, coarsely mash the avocado using a potato masher. Add in onion, garlic and lime juice. Mix in salt according to taste. Serve with tortilla chips.
  2. To store: Cover with plastic wrap, pressing it against the surface of the dip to prevent browning.
