Apple Walnut Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup peanut or vegetable oil
  • 3 cups pared diced apples
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • ½ cup raisins
  • Glaze:
  • 1 1/4 c powdered sugar
  • 1 T butter melted
  • 2 T milk or as needed

Instructions

  • Mix togther dry ingredients in mixer, add eggs one at a time, followed by oil. Add 1 cup of the apples and mix well. Stir in by hand the remaining apples, nuts, and raisins.
  • Bake in greased, floured bundt pan for 1 hour at 350. Turn out of pan and allow to cool.
  • Mix together glaze ingredients and pour over cake.
